The Four Gates Cabernet Sauvignon is a medium bodied wine with an intense ruby colour.  The nose is forthcoming and complex with a pungent bouquet of red berries and plums.  The fruit aromas are underlined by subtle hints of mint, vanilla and leather.  This is a well balanced wine with a good acidity and subtle tannins.  There is a good follow-through onto the palate, with some cassis and glazed cherries, rounded off with a lingering aftertaste.The Four Gates Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 should be served with leg of lamb or a good South African barbeque.
